Sloping back garden

A much loved family garden whose owners were looking for a sophisticated re-design to allow for entertaining now that all the children have left for university.

The sloping back lawn was levelled and the left over soil used to create tiered paths and raised beds leading to a fake door in the boundary fence.

We extended the patio outside the house to create a larger outdoor eating area for family dinners and entertaining.  A pergola planted with flowering climbers was used to create screening and privacy from the neighbours.

Reclaimed boulders and a granite water feature were used to transform the shady side garden into a Japanese garden with raked paths and secluded seating areas.
